1.3. These Terms and Conditions apply to bookings made online, by telephone, by email or directly through Dolphin Travel.
1.4. Dolphin Travel is a family-run coach operator established in 1963, providing passenger transport services throughout the United Kingdom.
1.5. The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all passengers included in their booking are aware of these Terms and Conditions.
1.6. Dolphin Travel reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions. The version applicable to a booking will normally be the version in force when that booking was confirmed, unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.
1.7. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects a customer's statutory consumer rights.
2.1. All day trip bookings are subject to availability.
2.2. Bookings may be made through Dolphin Travel's online booking system or by contacting the office.
2.3. A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully received and a booking confirmation has been issued.
2.4. Customers must provide accurate contact information, including their name, telephone number and email address where applicable.
2.5. Dolphin Travel accepts no responsibility for problems caused by incorrect contact information supplied by the customer, where reasonable steps have been taken to communicate using the details provided.
2.6. Customers should carefully check their booking confirmation, including the date, destination, number of passengers and departure information.
2.7. Any errors should be reported to Dolphin Travel as soon as possible.
2.8. Dolphin Travel reserves the right to decline a booking where there is a legitimate operational, legal or safety reason.
2.9. Booking confirmations may be issued electronically. Customers should retain their confirmation and present it when requested.
3.1. All prices are advertised in pounds sterling (GBP).
3.2. The advertised price will clearly indicate whether the trip includes coach travel only or additional services such as admission tickets, meals or organised activities.
3.3. Unless expressly stated otherwise, day trip prices do not include:
Food and refreshments.
Personal purchases.
Optional attractions or activities.
Travel insurance.
Additional transport undertaken independently.
Other personal expenses.
3.4. Full payment is normally required at the time of booking unless an alternative payment arrangement is expressly offered.

3.10. Promotional offers and discounts cannot be applied retrospectively unless expressly stated.
4.1. Customers wishing to cancel a booking should contact Dolphin Travel as soon as possible.
4.2. Cancellation requests should be submitted by email or telephone, quoting the booking reference.
4.3. Day trips operate on specific dates, and coach seats are reserved in advance.
4.4. Customers are not generally entitled to an automatic 14-day cooling-off period for dated passenger transport bookings or qualifying dated leisure activities.
4.5. Where a customer cancels because they no longer wish to travel, cancellation charges may apply.
Standard Cancellation Policy
For coach-only day trips, the following cancellation arrangements apply:
| Notice before departure | Refund |
|---|---|
| 14 days or more | Full refund |
| 713 days | 75% refund |
| 36 days | 50% refund |
| Less than 72 hours | No refund normally available |
4.6. The above charges are intended to reflect the costs and losses reasonably associated with cancelled bookings. Dolphin Travel will not retain amounts that would result in an unfair or disproportionate cancellation charge.
4.7. Where Dolphin Travel is able to resell a cancelled seat, any reduction in its financial loss will be taken into account when determining the appropriate cancellation charge.
4.8. For trips including pre-purchased attraction tickets, meals, event admission or other third-party services, additional non-recoverable costs may apply. These will be identified where reasonably possible before booking.
4.9. Customers may request to transfer their booking to another person. Dolphin Travel will normally accommodate this where sufficient notice is provided and the transfer is permitted by any relevant attraction or ticket provider.
4.10. Name changes and transfers are subject to any reasonable administration costs or unavoidable third-party charges, which will be disclosed before the change is agreed.
4.11. Failure to attend a booked departure without prior cancellation will normally be treated as a no-show, and no refund will be due for services that were available but not used.
4.12. Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method within 14 days of Dolphin Travel agreeing that a refund is due.
4.13. These cancellation arrangements do not restrict customers' legal rights where Dolphin Travel fails to provide the contracted service or breaches its obligations.
5.1. Dolphin Travel reserves the right to cancel a day trip where it cannot reasonably or safely operate the service.
5.2. Circumstances that may result in cancellation include:
Insufficient passenger bookings.
Severe weather conditions.
Road closures or major transport disruption.
Vehicle breakdowns or mechanical problems.
Driver illness or unexpected staffing difficulties.
Attraction or venue closures.
Events outside Dolphin Travel's reasonable control.
5.3. Where Dolphin Travel cancels a trip before departure, customers will be offered either:
a) A full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled trip; or
b) A transfer to an alternative trip, subject to availability and the customer's agreement.
5.4. Customers will not be required to accept a credit note or alternative trip instead of a refund.
5.5. Dolphin Travel will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers as soon as possible using the contact details supplied at booking.
5.6. Where a trip is cancelled due to insufficient bookings, Dolphin Travel will aim to provide reasonable advance notice.
5.7. Dolphin Travel will not automatically be responsible for independently arranged expenses, such as accommodation or connecting travel, where the cancellation results from circumstances outside its reasonable control. This does not exclude any compensation legally due.
6.1. Passengers must arrive at their designated departure point at least 15 minutes before the advertised departure time.
6.2. Departure times will be provided in the booking confirmation or relevant trip information.
6.3. Unless otherwise advertised, Dolphin Travel day trips depart from the designated Norwich pick-up point.
6.4. Customers must ensure they are waiting at the correct location.
6.5. Coaches will aim to depart at the advertised time.

7.5. Where a passenger fails to return at the agreed time, the driver will make reasonable efforts to establish their whereabouts where practical.
7.6. The driver may depart without a missing passenger where waiting would unreasonably disrupt the journey, breach legal driving-hours requirements or compromise the safety or welfare of others.
7.7. Passengers who miss the return departure through their own actions will be responsible for arranging and paying for their return transport.
7.8. Dolphin Travel will not normally reimburse these additional expenses unless the circumstances arose from a failure on its part.
7.9. Passengers are encouraged to carry a charged mobile telephone and retain the driver's contact details where provided.
8.1. Dolphin Travel aims to provide clean, comfortable and appropriately maintained vehicles.
8.2. The type of coach allocated to a trip may vary depending on passenger numbers, availability and operational requirements.
